Linesmen in their various forms.

Arcea
Regular>
0/5 Civic Guard. What do you think they do? Weekend warrior regiments raised by the government to protect the three home states. Mostly composed of old Republican revolutionaries who still have a hard on for the civil war, and young fierce Republicans who don’t want to do the military thing. Generally wear civilian clothing. Weapons are privately owned.

1/5 Old Guard. Similar to the civic guard, but a full time job. Generally composed of those fiercely loyal to the Republic but too old to become Campaigners. Victoria Mk.MXII

2/5 Republican Guards. Similar to Campaignmen, they were originally raised to fight monarchists and communists, but with the remaining cells long gone, they are now tasked with defense of the three states against foreign invasion. Campaignmen aren’t meant to fight in Arcea, Republican Guards aren’t meant to fight outside of it. Victoria Mk.MXII, M1788 Mk.Iv, AR1769 Mk.XVI, Arrows ATR-1

2-3/5 Campignmen. Arcea’s regular linesmen. They fight in 5-10 man echelon formations which include a sharpshooter and a automatic rifleman. Well drilled, they generally do three years fighting slavers in the far east (hence the 2-3 rating) before being deployed to one of Arcea’s frontline bases, or moving into a fortress within one of the three states. Generally a handful of echelons will work in tandem to complete objectives. Also, surprisingly capable in melee combat as they are trained in bayonet and axe fighting techniques. Victoria Mk.MXII, M1788 Mk.Iv, AR1769 Mk.XVI, Arrows ATR-1

2-3/5 Cavalry (dragoons, koursores, cataphracts) . Effectively horse mounted campaignmen. Guncars and tanks are beginning to replace these units, and are referred to as hussar and cataphract regiments respectively. M1788 Mk.Iv, Arrows ATR-1, Fenix (gun car), Cassidy Mk.2 (tank)

4/5 Linebreakers. Shotgun and grenade rifle armed infantry clad in armour resistant to most small arms fire (albeit, the M1788 is designed to penetrate this armour, so who knows how efficient it really is). Units are composed of only the tallest and strongest men and woman. They are generally charged with clearing enemy trenches and machine gun nests, but are most terrifying in urban combat. shotgun, grenade rifle (need names for those soon…)

5/5 Air Marines. The chosen few, after serving 3 years in another unit, a solider can tryout for the Air Marines. What follows is a year of brutal, intense training where deaths are common part of the experience. Those who leave are elite shock troops of the Republic, tasked with taking key battlefield positions and infrastructure ahead of the main assault. They are often deployed behind enemy lines and left to there own devices, killing high ranking officers, kidnapping couriers and members of enemy governments, and other devious activities. Air Marines are also trained how to use the equipment of foreign nationalities, allowing them to hold out behind enemy lines for months, if not years… Use all Arcean Weapons

6/5 Republican Guards. Men hand selected by the Republics top generals. They are elite line breakers with ballistic shields. While heavy equipment means they can’t fight for extended periods of time, lower ranked opponents generally break at the sight of such men, and more elite units are generally murdered in an equally short amount of time. shotgun, grenade rifle (need names for those soon…)

Unique>

4/5 Eastern Rangers. Dragoons units made of men and woman born and raised in the Arcean Cosscars. Riders have plenty of experience fending of slavers, raiding Dahomey and Scarabeen bands and suppressing the odd rebellion. They are generally more experienced, hardened and have better instincts than regular dragoons (not to mention a streak of Republican fanaticism). Rangers are also crack shots and are as accurate firing on horseback as they are on foot Victoria Mk.MXII, M1788 Mk.Iv

4/5 Nikea’s Own Rangers. Composed primarily of woman from the capitol, the Nikea’s own are a storied unit of light infantry. They are excellent pathfinders, capable of and willing to go where very few men would be willing to, whether it be scaling a mountain range or taking a detour through a swamp. Effectively, they are the ultimate survivalists. And tank hunters. Don’t let them near your tanks. Victoria Mk.MXII, M1788 Mk.Iv, Arrows ATR-1

5/5 Sudfellian Guards. Armed with automatic rifles and grenade launchers, these men are the ultimate defensive unit. They are one of the few linesmen units around who can contend with linebreakers. AR1769 Mk.XVI, grenade rifle

6/5 Air Marine Guard. Kennewick types. Work directly under the Director Aeronaval Intelligence, who reports to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. A rather shadowy group who are raised from the Air Marines who are as ingenious as they are capable with a rifle…

6/5 Gold Helmets. Linebreakers with a few tricks up there sleeves…

Ephesus
Ephesian Linemen: 0/5 – Not trying hard enough. Good plate armour and quite a few religious fanatics though. So I guess .5 maybe? Squads of 7, including a sergeant

Ephesian Veteran Linemen: 1/5 Any lineman that has fought in at least 3 battles. Guess they get a bit better at it. Still 7 guys

Ephesian Marksmen/Scouts: 2-6/5 Any lineman that can aim is usually enlisted. Can vary from Blindfolded Michael J Fox (Tried to Google “Bad Snipers”: All articles talking about how snipers are bad people so I had to use MJF instead.) to Simo Hayha. Usually 2 marksmen, 3 scouts. Scouts run around and scout, marksmen go around and marks…men.

Ephesian Shock Troops: 3/5 Any lineman’s dream. Given a lot more freedom than regular linemen, these units usually receive general objectives rather than specific orders then are expected to improvise. They’ve done a good enough job that they haven’t been disbanded yet, and have 3. That’s a whole two ranks above (sorry, 1.5) linemen. So take my word for it. They’re pretty okay.

Leone Guardsmen: 3/5 Just a better trained lineman with more CQC weapons for cityfighting. Oddly enough, they’re usually recruited from Leone.

Ephesian Shields: 4/5 Funnily enough, they carry around shields and are used as defensive units. Formed by the bravest and toughest men and women, there’s a section in the signup sheets that specifically state that this job no longer covers the medical expenses of concussions and fractured bones. Breaks and migraines are fair game though. You can usually see these troops leading their allies forward during battles on plains and open areas, breaching doors, and just generally standing in front of everyone so they don’t have as many holes in them.

Aragon Condors: 5/5 (Almost completely wiped out- Records show around 150 survivors after the Dominion took the capitol. Survivors shunned by Dothan troops because they survived whereas the capitol didn’t. Dothan are weird like that.) Best troops in Ephesus barring Dothan, they’re recruited from all over the place and were used as the city garrison for the capitol city. Dothan had a regular troop tithe of 20 men every year who made up the Emperor’s guard, but they all died fighting and/or resisting arrest against the Dominion.

(Not sure where the Emperor went :\)

Dothan Scout Corps: 4-6/5 Similar to their regular Ephesian counterparts, but more reliable(Originally had stable, realized it made it sound like they were all insane). May range from Good Sharpshooter to Simo Hayha on Adderall. Blamed for creating quite the large missing person’s lists for opposing nations.

Dothan Regulars (Defensors): 5/5 Any Shock Trooper’s dream. Commando units most famous for spearheading charges and survivability. Armour can potentially stop .50 cal rounds from those really angry rifles. Equipped with standard gasmasks, they’re pretty sturdy. Less famous for their espionage, kinda like if spy agencies were actually secret. Actual reason for those missing person’s lists mentioned above. Are mostly comprised of Dothan men and women, although it’s not unheard of to have other Ephesians recruited if they’re good enough.

Dothan War Council Members: 5-6/5 Imagine a man that is a tank. Now, imagine that same man wrestling polar bears. Now imagine that polar bear to stand at 4 meters. You’ve just imagined a Russian man. What we have here, is instead the command echelon of the Dothan. They’re either amazing veteran soldiers, amazing retired veteran soldiers, really smart and amazing veteran soldiers, or just people who have been around for so long they’ve probably seen it all. The younger officers are there to tell the old men they’re past their prime, the old guys are there to tell the young ones of their past glories and failures. As a wise man once said, (and by wise man I mean Jace from Magic: The Gathering) Something something “why learn from your own mistakes when you can learn from otheres?” Or something.

Dothan Protectorate: 6/5 Most guys are here because they’re either too lucky to die, or too dumb to die. Either way, it’s basically a group living off borrowed time that go 4v300ing stuff for the shits and gigs. It works, you live to blow stuff up another day, you die, another guy just as lucky or dumb will take your place. Seriously though, these guys usually make up command units, and are used as really, really destructive bullet magnets so everyone else gets shot at less. Achieved with Cryengine3(They’re really blingy units). They have reinforced plate armour that has a chance to withstand smaller calibre tank rounds, and are equipped with enough firepower to stop anything ranging from line infantry to hippos. (For anyone that doesn’t understand this, go look up how tough hippos actually are.) They are in charge of challenging enemy commanders with any sense of honour to duels, defend their own commander so they remain unharassed, and killing things their allies are having troubles with. Not the greatest stealth teams in full combat suits. Formed in squads of four, one man is a Warden(Guy with big ballistic shield), then the others are equipped with whatever works for them.

Karelia

Regular>

0/5 Militia. What do you think they do? Weekend warrior regiments raised by the government to protect the home kingdoms. Mostly composed of fiercely loyal monarchists who have families and careers stopping them from actually joining the military. Generally wear civilian clothing. Weapons are privately owned.

1/5 Elite Militia. Conscripts made of young men and woman (primarily woman) between the ages of 17 and 21. While meant to be equivalent to an Arcean Campaignman, with so much training focus political doctrine, not combat, the efficiency of such units is highly suspect… Karl-Enniswick

2-3/5 Yeomanry. Effectively horse mounted elite militia, made of those who show given level of interest and aptitude. Karl-Enniswick

2-3/5 House Cavalry. Horse mounted regulars. Guncars and tanks are beginning to replace these units, and are referred to as hussar and cataphract regiments respectively. Karl-Enniswick, Arrows ATR-1, Fenix (gun car), Cassidy Mk.2 (tank)

5/5 Royal Guards. The chosen few, after serving 3 years in another unit, a solider can tryout for the Royal Guards. What follows is a year of brutal, intense training where deaths are common part of the experience. Those who leave are elite shock troops of the Kingdom, tasked with taking key battlefield positions and infrastructure ahead of the main assault. They are often deployed behind enemy lines and left to there own devices, killing high ranking officers, kidnapping couriers and members of enemy governments, and other devious activities. Royal Guards are also trained how to use the equipment of foreign nationalities, allowing them to hold out behind enemy lines for months, if not years… Karl-Enniswick, Karl-Enniswick Mod.1

6/5 Empress/Emperors Guard. Men hand selected by the Kingdoms top generals. They are elite line breakers with ballistic shields. While heavy equipment means they can’t fight for extended periods of time, lower ranked opponents generally break at the sight of such woman, and more elite units are generally murdered in an equally short amount of time. shotgun, grenade rifle (need names for those soon…)

Unique>

5/5 Banshee. Deployed behind enemy lines, these woman generally are used to inspire fear in an enemies civilian populace and its lower quality soldiers. Raiding unsuspecting encampments at night, they try to capture as many opposing men as possible and mutilate them or crucify them. They will do the same to the male population of an unprotected village.

6/5 Valnaud. A shadowing organization working directly under the command of the Queen/Kings Council, to which they are loyal to (not the King/Queen or the country itself). They are nightmarish combination of the most brutal Banshee’s and Emperor’s Guardwoman. While a horrifying force to even their allies, one can only imagine what their opponents think. They are also tasked with suppressing Karelians who have unsavory ideas…

Enshaw

Regular>

0/5 Civic Guard. What do you think they do? Weekend warrior regiments raised by the government to protect the home islands. Mostly composed of fiercely loyal Republicans who have families and careers stopping them from actually joining the military. Generally wear civilian clothing. Weapons are privately owned.

2-4/5 Campigners. Enshaw’s regular linesmen. They fight in 5-10 man echelon formations which include a sharpshooter and a automatic rifleman. Not as well drilled as their Arcean counterparts, and helpless on the continent, they become devastatingly effective when operating on the Islands. Beyr M1793, Arrows ATR-1

3-4 Gun Cav. Effectively horse mounted campaigners. Guncars are beginning to replace these units. Beyr M1793, Arrows ATR-1

Air Marines are also trained how to use the equipment of foreign nationalities, allowing them to hold out behind enemy lines for months, if not years… Beyr M1793, Arrows ATR-1

Unique>

4/5 Continental Infantry. Campaigners trained in the Arcean style of warfare. Generally more educated than regular Campaigners, as they need to be fluent in Arcean and Enshawdian. Beyr M1793, M1788 Mk.Iv, Arrows ATR-1, AR1769 Mk.XVI

5/5 Adityawarman. Elite hunters raised in the jungle heavy south, these men are pure brawn and employ terrific (in every sense of the word) yet outdated weapons. Nothing wakes up a campaigner like a man jumping down on them from the trees with a bolo…  Bolo Knife, Hawksley Revenge (Arcean semi-automatic revolver)

6/5 Talismen. Elite hunters raised in the wetlands north, these men make for devious and brilliant warriors. While devastating with the compound bow, they also enjoy access to South Arcea & West Hoffnungian silenced rifles, making them as efficient on the continent as they are on the islands. Vanlewisporte Steel S 8.7, Compound Bow

Shirudo

Shirudo units:

3-4/5   Shirudo Line infantry: Battle-hardened from the constant disputes between its former neighbour, Nordvest, regular Shirudo infantry posses higher endurance when compared to their continental counterparts. But this was back when the (art)war started in 1800rt. The 3 years of (art)war, in Nordvest, Ephesus, parts of Dominion UHR, and Enshaw’s  island territories, have bled them white.
They are few in number but their experience and  modern equipment grants them superiority over their numerous enemies. At least for a while then they have to retreat, a favoured tactic used by their commanders at this point of the war. They use a range of weapons: T1 Battle Rifles, AT Sicks(panzerfaust), Submachineguns, grease gun-machine pistols,  Rifle grenades..etc

(NA) Shirudo Elites- armored and clad like heroes on their folklore, these burly men of Shirudo formed the vanguard of the assault on Nordvest.Unfortunately for these brave soldiers, fending off the combined onslaught of the combined efforts of North-Ghurkkan, Karelian and Arcean armies proved too much and this branch was depleted. The survivors were folded into the remaining Line infantry divisions to serve as squad leaders.

(NA) Shirudo Royal Mariners- of all the men from all across the Shirudo nation who answered the Royal Navy’s call to arms, the Royal Mariners are the toughest bunch. Like any other Shirudo soldier, Royal mariners are no strangers to war. They were lauded as the best soldiers of the Kokunate and as such they have the honor of forming the first official Dominion battalion: the Special Naval Operations Battalion. The other half on the SNOB would be formed by UHR Luftmarines.

Ground Vehicles:
3/5  Stampede Assault Gun-at the start of the (art)war, the Shirudo Kokunate used these simple yet powerful war machines to knock out the outdated armies of Nordvest quickly. Although it lacks a rotating turret, it is considered a mistake to underestimate this machine.

2/5  Cokai Armored Car- This is a boxy fast attack vehicle armed with 20mm canon. Not much history, developed as part of the modernisation of the Shirudo army. The predecessor to the SNOB armored vehicle called Iron Iso.

1/5 Hugun Personel Carrier- a higgins boat but with treads and smoke dispensers. Used to ferry ground troops faster.

3/5 Siege Tank- the metal slug like mobile mortar vehicle. Provides medium artillery support to the  ground advance.

4/5 Hoi Ro Mobile Artillery- essentially a large cailbre howitzer built on a Hugun chassis. First fielded in Ephesus.

I’ll probably add Airships and air vehicles with art. I’m really getting into this, hahaha. I’m also writing this here so that I won’t forget.

Now on to the Dominion:
The Shirudo Kokun Emperor and Magna Tranfa both agreed that even with its new attained power, the Shirudo military would still need even more strength to challenge the Arcea and her allies directly. The Unos Solum Dominion was the answer and through Shirudo willpower and the out-worldly methods of Magna, it came true. Albeit weaker than what it should be, the Dominion still possess enough resources to wage war and compete with the Continental Alliance economically. Dominion forces are mostly tough professional generalist units.

4/5  Arrowheads- Nimble and lithe, these soldiers who bear the mark of Magna perform the role of infiltrator, skirmisher, and reconnaissance unit. They sneak about, close in and cause all sorts spec ops/ commando trouble and retreat. They appear in groups of 5. They are deployed all over the Dominion and its neighbours. However when compromised they tend to take down as much enemies as they can before being felled. They are so far the most common of the marked. Armed with a wide array of Domnion/Shirudo weapons, these stealthy lot have been around in Unos Solum since the 1780sRT.

2/5 State Armsmen- Local and unmarked men and women trained to defend the Dominion held Industrial hubs, cities, farmlands, ports and other important objectives. They’re organised according to their home state/city e.g. Maldecroy Armsmen won’t probably be assigned to a Gosumo unit. They are armed with T1 Battle Rifles and are the first line of defense of the Dominion.(will draw these guys soon)

5/5 Special Naval Operations Battalion- SNOBs have the honor of being the first Dominion military unit ever formed. Composed primarily of Shirudo Royal Mariners and the methodical Luftmarines of Commander Foreman, SNOBs are the best unmarked units of the Dominion.( will divulge more when I submit artwork)

3/5 Sappers- When they were first deployed, these marked and Khaki-clad soldiers came to be called Children of Nordvest and were led by the Firstborn Child. They unleashed their wrath on Ephesus to great effect. But when the the course of the war changed in Nordvest, divisions of Sappers were redirected to help solidify the defensive efforts. As their name suggests, Sappers are good at digging-in and defensive warfare. They are drone like and slower to react than their Arrowhead cousins.

6/5 Murakumo Heavy Infantry-Standing at a height of 2 meters and armed with an Anti-tank rifle, these marked behemoths can punch through any ground line. Besides their terrifying size, their prowess in battle is what makes going against them frightful. They used to be called Hands of Justice back in the early years of the (art)war.

4/5  Warriors- The next and upcoming batch of marked soldiers to be deployed by the Dominion. Equipped with the latest gear, Warriors will soon carve a bloody path into the heart of all those who oppose the Dominion. Some wield curved swords from Scarabeen while others make use of the Dahomeyan martial art, Dalitso(blessing) while others move with the practiced efficiency of UHR’s renowned elite soldiery.

Ground vehicles? why not?

Aside from upgraded versions of the vehicles listed above e.g. Stampede 2(4/5), Hoi Ro 2(simply better perfomance), the following are original Dominion ground armor:

3/5 Girido IFV-

4/5  Iron Iso Armored vehicle- fast attack, high firepower SNOB use vehicle. Light enough to be transported via specialised AirCorvettes.

1/5 Kirabo transport truck.
